BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team will wrap up a five-game home stand Wednesday when it hosts King (TN) University at Williams Gymnasium. The start time for Wednesday's game is set for 7:30 p.m.
Last Time Out – LMC won its last game against Barton, 91-85, Saturday. The Bobcats have been playing well as of late winning three of their last four games.
Home Court Advantage – Six of Lees-McRae's eight victories this season have come at Williams Gymnasium. If the Bobcats can pull off another victory on Wednesday vs. King, it will mark the third straight season in which they have posted a winning record on their home court.
Bobcats with the blocks – Lees-McRae currently ranks third in the conference averaging 3.6 blocks per game this season. Pacing these efforts has been freshman Keith Heard II who is averaging 1.0 block per game.
Fantastic February – One of the major reasons why the Bobcats have posted a 3-1 record in February has been the play of junior Jordan Turner. In four games, Turner is averaging 20.5 points per game and has knocked down 20 three-pointers during that stretch. The Hickory, N.C. native currently is third among Conference Carolinas in three-point shooting percentage (43.7).
Series Rewind – The Tornado have won five straight against LMC. Lees-McRae's last win against King was on Dec. 7, 2013 when it won in Bristol, Tenn., 78-73.
