Men’s Lacrosse hits the road for a pair of games this week

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team will hit the road for a pair of games this week. The Bobcats will begin the week with a conference contest at Pfeiffer Wednesday before wrapping up their week with a trip to Davis & Elkins Saturday. The start times for those games are set for 7 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats notched their first conference road win since the 2009 season Saturday when they knocked off Emmanuel (GA) by a score of 16-8. With the win, LMC moved to 3-4 on the season.

Setting a new standard – With the win on Saturday, the Bobcats have matched their win total from all of last season (3). The three victories also match the program's most wins in a season. LMC has eight scheduled games remaining to try and notch another win to break the record.

King of the Castle – Cameron Castle notched his sixth career victory in goal Saturday against Emmanuel. The six wins give Castle more victories than any other goalie in the history of LMC men's lacrosse.

Dynamic Duo – The tandem of Alec Molander and Dane Carney has been key to LMC's success this season. Molander currently leads the conference with 34 points, while Carney ranks third with 31 points. The 65 combined points between Molander and Carney are more than any two players in the conference this season.

Series Rewind – Lees-McRae will look to notch its first victory over Pfeiffer since the 2009 season when it knocked off the Falcons in the first round of the conference tournament. Saturday's matchup against Davis & Elkins will be the first ever meeting between the two programs.
