  • Alec Molander named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse player Alec Molander (Victoria, British Columbia) was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team Saturday morning by the league office. Molander is the first Bobcat to receive All-Conference honors since former goalkeeper Ryan Harrison also earned second team honors in 2013.
  • Lees-McRae starts fast but falls to Mount Olive in Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals, 24-5

    MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team scored three of the first four goals Tuesday afternoon in its Conference Carolinas Quarterfinal matchup against Mount Olive, but the Trojans rallied to upend the Bobcats, 24-5. The loss closes out the 2017 season for the Bobcats. LMC finishes with a record of 5-11, which is the most wins in a season in program history.
  • Ten LMC Lacrosse Players named Academic All-Conference

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s and women’s lacrosse programs had 10 players land spots on the Academic All-Conference teams Tuesday afternoon. Both the men’s and women’s squads had five honorees each. From the men’s team Dane Carney, William Eagle, Alex Gudewich, Allan Smith and Blaine Stottlar were recognized, while Callie Gregg, Sara Henderson, Tiffany Laster, Joelle-Sara Prata and Cheyenne Warrick were the honorees from the women’s squad.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team will open play in the Conference Carolinas men’s lacrosse tournament Tuesday afternoon when it travels to Mount Olive. The first faceoff between the Bobcats and Trojans is set for 4 p.m.
  • Fast Start leads North Greenville past the Bobcats Saturday, 20-8

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – North Greenville University scored seven goals in the first 13 minutes of action Saturday at Tate Field on its way to a 20-8 victory over the Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team. The loss wraps up LMC’s regular season record at 5-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team fell to No. 15 Belmont Abbey by a score of 21-5 Wednesday night at Tate Field. The loss moves LMC’s record to 5-9 overall and 2-4 in Conference Carolinas play.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team saw its two-game winning streak snapped Monday afternoon at Tate Field as Coker College clipped the Bobcats by a score of 19-17. The loss moves LMC’s record to 5-8 on the season.
  • Bobcats close out their regular season with three games this week

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team will close out its 2017 regular season this week with three games at Tate Field. LMC will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule against Coker Monday at 3 p.m. before playing host to Belmont Abbey on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and North Greenville on Saturday at 1 p.m.
  • Bobcats down Chowan Friday, 20-16, for their second straight win

    MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team picked up its second straight win Friday when it knocked off Chowan University in Conference Carolinas action, 20-16. LMC improves its record to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in league action with the victory.
  • Men’s Lacrosse sets new program record for wins in a season with a 14-13 win over Brevard

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team made history Tuesday night at Tate Field when it defeated Brevard College by a score of 14-13. With the win, the Bobcats have set a new record for wins in a single season for the program with four.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team has a pair of games on tap this week. The Bobcats will begin the week with a non-conference matchup against Brevard College Tuesday at Tate Field. LMC will close out the week with a trip to Chowan Friday. The start times for the two games are scheduled 6 and 3 p.m., respectively.

  • Men’s Lacrosse announces schedule changes

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team announced a trio of schedule changes Thursday afternoon. The first schedule change involves Saturday’s game vs. Mount Olive. The tilt against the Trojans has been moved to Mount Olive, N.C. and will now begin at noon. The change is due to the wintry weather forecasted for Banner Elk this weekend.

LMC will begin the week with a trip to No. 14 Belmont Abbey Wednesday before returning to Tate Field for a tilt against No. 13 Mount Olive Saturday. Start times for those games are scheduled for 3 and 2 p.m., respectively.

    ELKINS, W.V. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 20-11 decision at Davis & Elkins Saturday afternoon. The loss moves LMC’s record to 3-6 on the season and 2-4 in away contests.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Sophomore Alec Molander matched a season-high with five goals Wednesday evening against Pfeiffer, but it was not enough as the Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 16-11 decision to the Falcons. The loss moves LMC’s record to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

The Bobcats will begin the week with a conference contest at Pfeiffer Wednesday before wrapping up their week with a trip to Davis & Elkins Saturday. The start times for those games are set for 7 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

    FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team defeated Emmanuel (GA) by a score of 16-8 Saturday afternoon to not only pick up its first conference win of the season, but also the program’s first conference road victory since the 2009 season. The victory is LMC’s third of the season moving its record to 3-4. The three wins match the program’s record for wins in a single season.

  • Wintry weather forces schedule changes for LMC Athletics Wednesday

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Due to the wintry weather and cold temperatures expected in Banner Elk Wednesday, the Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis teams have all announced schedule changes. The tennis matches Wednesday against Pfeiffer have been postponed along with the lacrosse game against Tusculum. All three contests don’t have make-up dates as of yet.

    DAVENPORT, Fla. – Dane Carney became the top all-time point scorer in the history of Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse Friday, but the Bobcats fell to Notre Dame de Namur by a score of 13-12. The loss dips Lees-McRae’s record to 2-4 on the season.
  • Men’s Lacrosse set to take on Notre Dame de Namur Friday in Florida

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team will make its second trip to the Sunshine State this season Friday when it takes on Notre Dame de Namur in a neutral site contest in Davenport, Fla. The start time for Friday’s game is scheduled for 5 p.m.
  • Men’s Lacrosse picks up 14-11 win over Alabama-Huntsville Saturday

    BOONE, N.C. – Five different Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse players tallied multiple points in a 14-11 victory for the Bobcats over Alabama-Huntsville at Watauga High School Saturday afternoon. The win bumps LMC’s record up to 2-3 on the season.

  • Men’s Lacrosse has a pair of games on tap for this week

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team has a pair of games on tap this week beginning Tuesday at No. 2 Limestone. Following their matchup with the Saints, the Bobcats will return home Saturday to host Alabama-Huntsville at Tate Field. The start times for the games this week are scheduled for 4 p.m. and noon, respectively.
  • Record-Breaking Performances spark LMC to a 20-6 victory at Montreat Tuesday

    BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – Dane Carney and the Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team broke a couple program records Tuesday afternoon at Montreat College. Carney scored four goals against the Cavaliers and he is now the career leader in that category for LMC with 178 goals. Because of the play of Carney and the rest of the Bobcats, LMC went on to defeat Montreat by a score of 20-6 to pick up their first win of the season. The 20 goals scored marked the most goals ever scored by LMC in a single game in program history.

  • Roberts Wesleyan spoils Lees-McRae’s home opener Sunday, 21-9

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Blaine Stottlar and Alec Molander both totaled three goals and two assists in Sunday’s home opener vs. Roberts Wesleyan, but the Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team fell to the Redhawks by a score of 21-9. LMC’s record dips to 0-2 with the loss.
