Academy United is a professional team that plays in the National Volleyball Association (NVA) based out of San Francisco, California.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – 157 Lees-McRae College student-athletes were named to the 2017 Fall Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll on Thursday morning by the league office. Eight teams had 10 or more student-athletes honored with the men’s and women’s soccer squads leading the way with 19 and 18 honorees, respectively.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball team will definitely put on some miles this week with four matches away from home, including three tilts in Hawaii. LMC will start its week at Belmont Abbey Tuesday before flying from Charlotte to Honolulu for matches at No. 3 Hawaii Thursday, against Thompson Rivers University Friday and an exhibition bout against a professional team in Academy United on Saturday.

  • Men’s Volleyball opens Conference Carolinas play this week with a pair of road matches

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – After playing four non-conference matches to begin its 2018 season, the Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball team will step into Conference Carolinas action for the first time this week with a pair of road matches. The Bobcats will head to Bristol, Tenn. Wednesday to take on the Tornado of King to open league play before heading to North Greenville on Saturday to round out the week. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Just two weeks into his collegiate career, Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball player Robert Bowling has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week by the league office Monday. Bowling is the first player of the week honoree for the program since March 27, 2017 when former Bobcat Reto Pfund received the honor.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Fresh off its highest win total since 2014, the Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball team will look to take another step forward in 2018 as it lifts the lid on a new season this weekend. LMC will open with a tilt at No. 14 Ball State Friday before closing out its first weekend of action with a matchup against Fort Wayne. Friday’s game is set for a 7:30 p.m. start time and Saturday’s is slated for a 7 p.m. first serve.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball team was picked to finish sixth in the 2018 Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Preseason Coaches’ Poll the league announced Tuesday afternoon. Robert Bowling, Wes Rogman and Hector Serviat were named as players to watch for the Bobcats this spring.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball team released its 2018 schedule Wednesday afternoon. LMC is scheduled to play 27 regular season matches, including 14 tilts at Williams Gymnasium. The 2018 schedule is highlighted by trips to Hawaii in early February and to Division I institutions, Ball State and Fort Wayne, in early January.
