    BANNER ELK, N.C. – In its first action at Williams Gymnasium this season, the Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team treated its home town crowd to a 67-59 win over P.R. Bayamon Tuesday night. The victory is the first for the Bobcats this season and bumps their record up to 1-2.
  • Women’s Basketball has a pair of games on tap this week

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team will return to the court for a pair of games this week. Lees-McRae will begin the week by opening its home schedule Tuesday as it hosts Puerto Rico-Bayamon at Williams Gymnasium before making a trip to Hickory, N.C. to take on Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday. Tuesday’s game is set for a 7 p.m. start time, while Saturday’s contest is set to begin at 2 p.m.
  • Strong Second Quarter leads Queens (N.C.) to an 80-68 win over Lees-McRae

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte scored 23 of 80 points Wednesday in the second quarter to pull in front of the Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team for good as the Royals defeated the Bobcats, 80-68. The loss drops LMC’s record to 0-2 on the season.

    NEWBERRY, S.C. – Powered by 29 points from Meg Essex and 27 points from Shelby Britten, Newberry College handed the Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team a 78-62 loss to open its 2017-18 regular season Monday evening.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team will open its regular season this week with a pair of non-conference games on the road. First, the Bobcats will open with a matchup against Newberry on Monday before traveling to Charlotte to take on Queens (N.C.) on Wednesday. Both games are scheduled for a 6 p.m. start time.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team was selected to finish tenth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches’ Poll the league office announced Monday afternoon. Juniors Markia Stacey, Brea Forbes and Alexis Ammons were listed as players to watch for LMC in 2017-18.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team released its 2017-18 schedule Friday afternoon. The Bobcats, who will be led by first-year Head Coach Keith ‘Mister’ Jennings, have 28 games scheduled for the upcoming season including 12 home games at Williams Gymnasium and two exhibition games at Division I institutions.
  • Jaterra Hurst named new assistant women’s basketball coach at Lees-McRae

    Jaterra Hurst has been named the new Lees-McRae assistant women’s basketball coach, head coach Keith ‘Mister’ Jennings announced Friday morning. Hurst, who is a former women’s basketball player at Belmont Abbey, brings over six seasons of coaching experience with her to Lees-McRae.
  • Keith “Mister” Jennings named new Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Lees-McRae

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Keith “Mister” Jennings has been named the new Lees-McRae Head Women’s Basketball Coach, announced the Vice President Director of Athletics and Club Sports Craig McPhail Friday. Jennings has spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach for LMC’s men’s basketball program, while also serving as the Head Coach of the JV squad.
